How are you celebrating Earth Day 2023?  I have a few ideas to share.

There are lots of controversial issues and sides to take.  All of that aside, we live on an amazing planet that too often we take for granted!  This Earth is worth celebrating! 🙂

Saturday, April 22, is Earth Day, and I want to take a moment to think about how we might celebrate and mention some simple ways we can be better stewards of the environment.

  • Visit the NewBo District this weekend.  There will be activities and vendors, and you’ll probably run into some friends while you’re there.
  • Get outside and enjoy the day.  We have talked about hiking up “Mount Trashmore” this summer. Saturday might be a great time to give it a shot!  Why wait until it gets hot outside?
  • Switch out those plastic bottles or containers.  I’m not sure what happened during COVID, but it seems like it’s no longer an option to bring your own cup to fill up with coffee at your local convenience store or coffee shop.  If you know why, let me know.
  • Last year I think I mentioned starting a garden.  I’m not going to pretend I’m a gardener, but it is a great way to get fresh vegetables and fruits and is a fun activity to share with your family.  Our farmers’ markets will soon be starting up again, and that’s more like how I enjoy the fruits and vegetables of the season.

I’d love to know how you plan to celebrate Earth Day this year.  Please give me a call or send me a note.  And as always, if you need help with anything real estate, I’d love to talk with you.  Contact BrocketteHomes@RuhlHomes.com.
